The First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s Family Life Center (FLC) is a 63,000 square‐foot multi‐use, recreational community complex, with eight acres of newly developed land, situated on the existing 163‐acre Worship Center Campus. Construction was completed in 20 months with construction costs for the project coming in at just over $20 Million dollars. The facility is one of the largest of its kind in Prince George's County. The FLC features (3) full size basketball courts with maple hardwood floors and an auditorium with spacious platform. It boasts generous acoustical treatment throughout, a state-of-the-art A/V system, A/V control room, amp room & theatrical lighting for presentations and performances. The FLC also integrates several flex spaces including (2) half‐courts, (4) team locker rooms, multi‐purpose rooms w/ operable partitions outfitted with integrated audio, video walls and offering flexible opportunities for a myriad of events and learning activities. The “Main Street” corridor provides an airy feel with a double volume space, accented with ground face CMU pilasters, and capped with an acoustical V-Cloud and pendant lights. The weight room & fitness center along with the indoor elevated walking track will promote health and wellness and serve FBCG members as well as the local community.
